Road Pirates (in development)

In the year 2020 a new computer system titled “The Ark” was produced and released by Noah Industries to the military. Its main objective was to ensure safety to troops on the ground by creating a robotic driving system eliminating the risk of military convoy operators being killed by roadside explosives during supply missions. The program was very successful and work on a civilian program began in 2023. In 2025 the program was released to businesses and a phasing out of professional drivers had begun. Within two years most of the professional drivers had been replaced by The Ark system as it was more effective, economical, and safe then employing a driver. The Ark system had taken over the road. Traffic accidents and violations were a thing of the past. Truckers unions fought the system in court battles, but with the evidence of safety and effectiveness on the side of the computer system it was a losing battle. In 2028 the last of the professional drivers were laid of by the Hal-Mart company. As the truckers handed their keys over to the company they swore to have their revenge…
